School History
St. Teresa’s Secondary School, founded in Calcutta in 1885, is run by the religious congregation
of the Daughters of the Cross. The congregation was founded by Mother Marie Therese in 1883,
and since its formation, it has been active in the sphere of spreading education throughout the
world.
This School presently admits only female students, priority given (in admission) to students
belonging to the Christian community, and thereafter others, irrespective of religion or caste.
